Enlightenment please

Can a thought originated in ones own mind illuminate ones entire life? Or does the light always have to fade? Can we possibly convey that thought to another with out a diminishing effect? Or perhaps the only way to transfer enlightenment is to allow the other person to be illuminated from their own perspective? Is this happing to me now? Is it possible that a person can not generate true enlightenment? is it always given? Passed down, passed through, passed over tumbling through the generations echoing through time like over circulated coins hitting the sides of the dark well of the infinite. Well that brings the question who's throwing them?

Very good point. Personally, I believe that we share consciousness/ soul/ life force energy, call it what you will. We are all connected through the mind or soul and share in all knowledge, but only rarely do we attune ourselves into the right frequency. That is when enlightenment occurs and it is only our concept of understanding that thought that can bring true enlightenment. You hear words like passion, fervant, etc, but when you are tuned into it, a new way of thinking occurs and helps you to train your thoughts into a new channel that will hopefully bring better understanding.
Still though, we are left wondering who throws the coins. Until enlightenment hits, I will have to pass on answering :)
