Safe haven

Free verse,

Safe haven the concept of building layers upon layers so we can dwell in safety. At what cost? What if the dangers are not out behind the layers of materials that separates you from the outside world what if the true danger lies inside all thoes layers upon layers you have created inside. Look at the reflection you've created it's not what you were given it's what you presumed to be your right.

And who are we keeping ourselves safe from? We are often told after all, that we are our own worst enemy. Plus, few of us are structural engineers, so who is to say we wont be the builders of our own demise anyway. Experience is the only answer and to gain experience, we have to live without the safety net of barricades. We cannot ever truly be safe, yet we must live life and take risks to know what is and isnt safe to begin with.
