JUST A BREEZE.. WHO NEEDS TORNADOS

JUST A BREEZE.. WHO NEEDS TORNADOS

A Poem by Southern Cross

Screw passion and turbulence.

Sometimes, I want my sail to be cast

Upon a calm wind..steady in its progress

Not having to fight the force to reach my destination.

Sometimes, I just want to arrive

Upon a journey that relaxed me along its path.

I want to search the horizon not wonder where it

Can be found or where it has departed from.

I long to savor the beach , lull with the waves,

Feel the  salt spray upon my lips

As my skin turns a deeper shade of pale.

I'm really like this new direction of yours. It's clear you have your boxing gloves on and you've decided to set your sail and stop letting fear of the storm keep you moored. The last line was great and it seemed to resound with such strength that there was an echo in my heart after reading it. "As my skin turns a deeper shade of pale." Enjoy the moments, forget the storm, and live life unafraid of tornados and storms, enjoying breezes and beaches.

~ "a deeper shade of pale" is unforgettable... but i love the first line... i love the candour and the spirit in it... you're too cute... :)
~ that calm and lull you so poetically speak of would definitely be welcome sometimes... i especially loved these two lines...

"I want to search the horizon not wonder where it
Can be found or where it has departed from."

~ haha... :P ~ the title is just too powerful... it reveals the brilliant mind behind it... :)
Calm..steady..and normal :) The journey can be so enjoyable and it makes your arrival just that much better. The destination just appears even if it's never where you thought it would be. Wonderful as always..

Our lives need balance, I'm just finding mine. Thank you for your review and insight.
There is something to be about the calm, but then how would we recognize and appreciate it without turbulent wind gusts I suppose. Beautifully penned. Love this.

Believe me I hear you loud and clear! :-)
my pleasure, welcome
May the breeze you feel only be as strong as the breeze from the blender making exotic tropical drinks full of ... well ... full of everything a tropical night can bring. If you see a bonfire way down the beach, drop on by... it'll be me, shooting the stars to find my position.

Great write. I hope you find your dreams.
