ORPHANED LOVERSA Poem by Southern Cross ORPHANED LOVERS I exist yet alone and scared, Feeling like a Motherless child. A pure soul lost in limbo with Outstretched arms holding the void. Typed words are too silent To accompany the echos That scream in my mind. The winter of silence has finally arrived. I can no longer see our path, Where it began and where it all will end. All that is visible is it's downward incline. Our footsteps are buried under The snowfall of lost dreams and promises. The surrounding air cuts like ice. We are like the sun engulfed in a cloudless sky Fighting the bitterness of harsh winter's winds. The dance of the living, frozen only in time. We must shed the weight of our burdensome dreams And when our world finally becomes silent, Look for me in the deepest recess of your heart For it is there I have taken refuge..untouched and content.
