Madness

Madness

A Poem by Southern Cross

                                                  MADNESS

To dismiss you..dismiss us
Would cause every  bloom to die,
The sun to stop it's radiance
And darkness to remain eternal.

Our hushed whispers
Ring louder than canyon echos.
They somehow survive, remain and haunt us
Binding two souls forever in the matrix.

Sometimes, what we can't say
Screams louder than what we can.
Victims of our own thoughts
Buried within the walls of our hearts.

We are like co-joined twins
Covered by the same flesh
Bearing the same heart and soul.
Unable to separate, to exist alone.

Let the world laugh at us and
Think we suffer from delusions of insanity
Bur no life has ever felt as fulfilled
As mine ..In this never ending wonderland.

When I first came across this, there were five reads and one review. I knew it wouldn't stay that way very long.
Glad you feel fulfilled. That's a good place to be... no matter who sees it.
I thought of the song "Some Trust in Chariots" by Rod McKuen for some reason.
Beautifully defiant, strong, proud write.

Wow .. You always write out, the words I am afraid to admit ..
I danced in wonderland .. and I'll never regret one minute

Insanity is a state of mine ...

Gawd, you are so good ... J.J.

not entirely sure how this one escaped me...it carries a great punch from heart to heart...the last verse is a special one because it throws back into the face of the taunters their laughter.

you were hurting... takes time to come back...
Again have to say what a way to write what you feel throughout the poem. Have to say you are a very deep woman that has great understanding of love, lost love and what it all intails. have to say say thanks again for sharing these beautiful words....

~ yes, it's madness... but you've looked deep into the beauty of that madness... traversed its every realm and every cell brilliantly... ~ and the imagery is beyond exquisite... it's spectacular and breathtakingly beautiful... ~ did you know that the term soul-mate (according to mythology) refers to two parts of the same "whole" ? ... i'm not exaggerating when i say this is probably my favourite poem by you so far... ~ sadly, the world shackles us with its expectations of "normalcy" in more ways than we like to admit... ~ sometimes i think freedom is a myth... what is society but a very large cult that expects people to behave like blind followers ? ... ~ when i feel lost, i think about all the great writers and poets who have written about freedom and love... and this post by you belongs to that league of writing that has seen through society's delusions and thus sets the reader free... a very empowering piece of writing, dudette... honest and fantastically so... the sadness that is there is a function of society's shackles not yours... you are free and you glow...
