Dead Weight

Dead Weight

A Poem by Emma Arthurs

I cannot lie,

That with each word spilled

And spat from bruised and torn lips

The brain feels

So much lighter

And heavier still

                         And I would be floating

                         If not

                         For you

I'm nineteen years old and I can barely begin to describe myself. I write snippets, mismatched pieces that fit together somewhere along the line. I write my mind. more..
