Cliff Diving

Cliff Diving

A Poem by Emma Arthurs

He has not the time to
Brace for impact

And breathes life instead,
With whispers
Of blissful moments
That reached lungs and
Did not stray

He takes a step to
Final footholds

And raises hands to head,
With sighs
Of letting go--

And curls into the unknown

I'm nineteen years old and I can barely begin to describe myself. I write snippets, mismatched pieces that fit together somewhere along the line. I write my mind. more..
