Take what's left

Take what's left

A Poem by AmandaLynn

I'm going to run,
It's an attempt to forget about you,
If I can't remove you from my life,
Maybe I can refuse the truth.

Take what's left,
Take what's left of me,
Soon there will be nothing there,
And then you will see.

You've hurt me so badly,
And I've hid the tears,
You've broken my heart,
Your words have pierced.

Take what's left,
Go on and take it away,
Take all that's left in me,
Take all of your games.

You've promised me a truth,
But your lies can't be undone,
I had respected you,
Those feelings are gone.

Take what's left,
Go on and take it away,
You've broken me down,
But I'll be okay.
