Prologue

The Last Defender

“The wars had ended. The day was new. The treaty with Ramsian Alare at its head was the answer to all.” So thought the head clerk at the signing of the treaty. “All that remains now is for the representatives to sign and this god-forsaken war will be over.” He watched as each member came up and added their names to the list. The treaty would unite them all under one banner, the banner of the treaty’s creator Ramsian Alare.

Ramsian the hero. No one really knew where he had come from, but he’d come in truly desperate times. World War 3 had raged for thirteen years and no country was not involved and peace was unreachable. The United States had been hit first, a large scale nuclear attack that still had not been traced. Then, the U.S. convinced that it had been committed by Russia fired on eastern Europe. The world fell apart. Although no nuclear weapons were used again, almost every country was dragged into the conflict. Finally in 2084, he came. Ramsian had a plan that would allow everyone to meet at middle ground and make world peace be possible.

It was time. The signing was complete now they had to elect a leader. The choice was obvious, Ramsian. They were all keying in their votes onto their computers and when they were done they pulled out a hair each for DNA confirmation. “Now, if you will please place your hairs on the sensor pads so that the votes may be tallied.” The clerk shuddered. While he admired Ramsian, he couldn’t get over how cold his voice was. The votes were about to be tallied when the ground shook, the computers shut off, and a figure of a man burst into the room. “Stop, you don’t know what your doing!” he screamed. All in the room were too shocked to respond. “That man who you were going to allow to rule us has mastered your hearts and minds with promises of false hope,if he succeeds then the world will be his servant and-” “How dare you! This man is our only hope for peace and your calling him a manipulator? You are a threat to a great new age and new peace for our time!” The representative of England shouted as he lept to his feet.  History echoed and the man looked down. “So, I’m too late. He’s already ensnared you.” He looked so defeated that some of the representatives wanted to find out what he had to say. They didn’t get the chance. A shot was fired, and he fell. His tears mixed with his blood... A new peace for our time.
