On This Night

 

Across the Night sky, souls fly,

Opening the heavens to space and time,

The hearts of lovers on a journey,

Within the stares their eyes stretch out Holden on for a sign,

That love call them,

 

On this night my love we will walk again,

Across the hills down the river beds,

Where we shall love and live,

Fly high and soar night sky,

 

From this night we, stand, hand in hand, looking out,

From this night we stand, side by side.

Hear my heart call,

Hear my voice travel through the stars,

To were your beauty lies,

 

Where she lays

Is between the night and the stars

One love that’s passed away,

So the other must stay behind.

 

On this night I call out to where you lay,

My heart young,, my hair gray.

My time calling me home,

Home by your side, where you lay.

Where you lay, waiting on me.

 

From this night we, hand in hand, looking out,

From this night we stand, side by side.

I have waited between the stars and the heavens.

From a long parted sleep,

Love holds true all hearts find truth of love and soul

True hearts walk together forever.

A call for love and the feelings are intense. A very romantic and beautiful poem.

The first thing that struck me was the unique way you spelled most of your words. It takes a creative mind to think in those circles; it made me want to "crack the code" so to speak. Even without searching for hidden meaning that may or may not be there, this is a beautiful love song. Lyrically strong with a hook that grabs you, the longing expressed here speaks to the unrequited love almost all of us have experienced. I'd love to hear this set to music.
