Helters HoldA Poem by Sorry Sits HereThis was the first poem I ever wrote so go easy on me; I was young. There is nothing like the powerful and utterly painful hold - of a strangled heart.
Evil demons breathing down my neck -
ruthless, relentless, unforgiving. Pain erodes my heart - subtly, silently, mentally molesting every thread of this life. Every piece that is to be held is left and forgotten. Stranded, trapped, and held back against it's will. Undying love turns against you in the beat of a heart. What was - is no longer. What is no longer - was never there. No more pain, no more losses, no more false pretenses set as a disguise to mask what -lies- within. Evil, brutality, malice, and spite; self-absorbed weaknesses only help destroy the stratagem of others. Hate bears down harder than the relief achieved by self-satisfaction; A non-existing form of cooperation between one - and one's self. We are nothing more than dogs on a leash, held back by the restraints of our emotion and will. Let go, let go, - Or forever hold your insanity within -
