Two daughters

Two daughters

A Poem by Soren

First

Loved you from the start, a sunbeam that had pierced my heart
Like the sun through clouds of gray, gave light and warmth to my day
Your mother incarnate, you are a part, nothing but happiness did impart
Your faults in my blind eyes decay and into dreams melt away

Second

You're the piece of me I lost but with your mother's eyes
The only piece I ever loved, hiding in your disguise
Bits of dreams never fulfilled, clouds of hope unseen
A dewdrop distilled, with the shadow of a queen
