Too bad (metaphor)

Too bad (metaphor)

A Poem by Soren

It's a shame when no one comes to the game and the season's on the line
So much work and not a jerk shows up to see the outcome in fine
As on to the field you do run, no starting gun, the other team didn't come
No fans in the stands no playing of the bands, no foe to succumb
A shocker so back to the locker, team heads looking at their feet
With no one to blame there will be no fame, without playing another defeat

Wow. Deep and carries so much in it. Every line has a different story to tell. One of my favorite of your poems sir!

Thank you so much for your read and comprehension it is most appreciated.
let others run amok on us....the fans have already left...we are on our own...no rally caps...just digging out of the hole we have reamed for ourselves.

Thanks Jacob I appreciate the read yesterday was poetry day and few people showed up.
short and simple...
Anticlimatic acceptance of defeat.
To me it reflects on missed opportunities and defeat due to unnoticed efforts we make.( This is just my interpretation)
The sattire and metaphor is quite catchy.
