Divine waste

Divine waste

A Poem by Soren

After the purging came the rain
God's sweat and excretions baptize babes and rapists
with vomit and urine of redemption
Expulsion of all that nourishes and the profane
void from bilious bellies of gluttonous clouds
Gomorrah's fires quenched in Noah's deluge
The poet's words fall as tear drops
On hard ground they form mud spots
blood of the word, salvation's sacrament is taken
making all drunken on the waste of the gods

Perhaps Nietzsche was right that god is dead. I thought he meant that it was the idea of god as understood by the judaeo / christian morality and that humans' evolution in the areas of science, cultural and varying schools of philosophical expansion had rendered a deity obsolete. However, I think god left the building like elvis long ago when people's hearts turned to stone and morals became currency to be sold to the highest bidder.
As we goosestep into the abyss I may have my answer yet. Somber piece of writing that is telling of the uncertainty we are facing.

Is this the promised purging fire, the arrival of the anti Alpha, the profane prophet, the Dragon of destruction? we were told - Beware they come in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. - nice scary writing - gives a needed chill - carl

A dark prophecy ...overstated? Given current outrage, I think not. History repeating itself, Jack boots, Goose-step, the Orange Reich. ... This one pulled me in and won't let me go. A skillful write, Soren.
