All loss

All loss

A Poem by Soren

Loneliness something you can only enjoy alone
Aging bone, recognized only after time passes
Through pain's glasses that only you have known
Solitary death shown, tucked alone beneath grasses

Rootless, with the cold wind blown
Sown on waves that dissolve into the vast sea
Free with no anchors dropped or thrown
On my own no charity or condescending pity

Gee
Plays a major role in the deaths of many elderly folk, we are not wired to be alone for great lengths of time.
I lived alone for 18 months, had little money and would never impose on "friends" thus spent most weekends without seeing or talking to another human, it was shite.
Hope you are well Siren

loneliness is only beautiful when you choose it. Otherwise, we are all alone (but not at the same time). I think loneliness is a situation where people are afraid to ask for help, it has become scary to think that if we ask for help, people can use it. But in fact, when we ask for help, none of us are alone. Yet, none of us are buried with anyone else, are we? We are all alone in our heads. No matter how much we explain, everyone hears what we say from their own perspective.

"Free with no anchors dropped or thrown
On my own no charity or condescending pity"
very deep and meaningful. Yes, that explains it all. A perfect ending

This poem feels really deep and kind of sad. It talks about being alone and how time makes you feel older. The words make me think of someone who feels like they don’t belong anywhere, like a leaf in the wind or a wave in the sea, a tree in the middle of grass and a fish in a pond, all alone. The last part sounds like the person doesn’t want help, even if they’re lonely. It makes me wonder if being alone is good or bad. The rhymes are nice, and the poem feels serious but also peaceful in a way. It’s short, but it makes you think a lot! Lovely work, Soren. Enjoy your day ahead.

How tragic it is and - there's no remedy available. Unless of course, another good Samaritan steps forward out of his/her busy world.
