All ever desired

All ever desired

A Poem by Soren

Her only desire, to feel loved
Poisoned by tea of oleander
Squeezed flower from his heart shoved
By the very one that Eros had willed her

Toxin of a beautiful flower
Passion dried between pages of time
Neglected milk left to sour
Her abandonment was her crime

Drink deep, years of pain
After age's hour
Dreams have become a stain
Chronos hope did devour

My interpretation ... our desires are both time and experience thieves. A well-constructed, imagery rich write.
