Reflections

Reflections

A Poem by Soren

Reeds piercing water, day begins
Reflections on a pond, here then gone
Ripples of a breeze break water's skins
Melting liquid images drawn

Birthed in blazing color
Pastel shades dim then go
So bright the sun's duller
Brush strokes on pool's canvas glow

Bugs as scratches on a mirror
A bulls eye where by a fish taken
Shattering what was once clear
Awaken from a dream mistaken

Though Sobek's skin is peeled away
In each new surface beauty does lay

I love the way cultured people write poetry. It is a completely informative and conveying narrative. I don't know if it is the same with you, but it always makes me happy when poets are inspired by new information and say I must write this. And it flows so naturally into the verse, it should definitely be published in magazines.

And I feel the depth of the sentences in my heart. The last part closed a wound in my soul with gold dust.

dear Soren... I remember reading as a Child about a Baby found in the Marshes by a Royal Guardian in Egypt... some stories leave a lasting impression with the Beauty of Nature. gently, Pat

You transported me to the marina lake we frequent in summer months. I have seen the most glorious of sunrises and sunsets reflected on the surface water. A beautiful sonnet Soren, you captured some special moments.
