On edge

On edge

A Poem by Soren

On a puzzle's edge where there is no form
Inside a thought riding a storm
Assembling holes into a tarnished dream
Rusted memories fall from a raveled seam

Thorn broken sticks the rose
A blossom without her clothes
Garments of pink bleed red
Droplets floating overhead

Waves of floral silk make a pool
Wilted echoes wrought by a fool
Yellow and blue sprout green
Planted seeds never seen

another great example of taking a mood and expressing it through image and sound. all the sharp edges described in the first three stanzas left me with a prickly feeling. my skin crawls a bit anticipating the imaginary cuts. then the final stanza makes a 180 turn. suddenly it is silk, echoes, sprout green, and planted seeds. soft and delicate images. the dichotomy of pleasure and pain was played with really well.

P.S you are extremely prolific. sorry i keep missing your posts. i will go through them all once i get a bit more time.
