How?

How?

A Poem by Soren

How can you walk away from a glorious day?

It was filled with musk from the approaching dusk

It was so bright with growing light

'Twas night with insidious fright

Beams of light warming transforming

By darkness hidden, terror ridden

So calm, full of balm

Griping black hold of cold

Infant day's glisten morning christen

Rain's flood births mud

Can you walk away from a perfect day?

In the shade you made I'll stay

Most Welcome!
Such a striking portrayal of the delicate balance between light and darkness, peace and fear. The imagery is vivid, especially in how you capture the fleeting moments of a perfect day and the contrasting emotions that come with nightfall. I love how you express the idea of staying in the comfort of the shade created by the day’s warmth and light. Beautifully written Soren!
