Kiss of death

Kiss of death

A Poem by Soren

Death is the justice of an unfair world
Marriage is a joint acquiescence to imprisonment on bread and water impearled
Freedom, distorted vision of heat waves over sand
Friendship’s gesture, middle finger of a waving hand

Thank you so much Jacob for the read and comment. They are always valued and cherished.
A dark poetic gem from your pen today, dear Soren! Yes, death is the leveller and all are equal in it. Life can teach us to be sceptical if we don't accept what is and allow ourselves to become bitter and resentful of what we have experienced in life, but if we let the past go, grateful to have learned the lesson and forgive all involved, then move away from the past and be fully present in the present moment, we find our life filled with gratitude, with blessings, with love and with light. Very thought provoking writing which has shown me what I never want to be like. Indebted to you, dear Soren. Wondrous write!

Most welcome always, dear friend...
