A Poem by Soren

Locked behind dark storage shed doors

the smell of old rat urine

in gnawed paper shavings

swarming with silverfish

memory's graveyard of holes,

past emotions now bleached

in faded yellowing photos

cobwebs,

dust, roaches

and droppings

all that's left
