A twisted tale

A twisted tale

A Poem by Soren

Betrayal a serpent tail developing after birth
it slowly grows until it shows venom under mirth
Attacking the rear, a bite or whisper, lies hidden in disguise
catching its prey where they lay with lies of surprise

Coiled words catch trusting birds in their nest or as it flies
viper cold, sheds skin of old, revealing new scales of treacherous lies
the right, antidote for the bite, a serum of forgiveness
An enlightened savior excuses the behavior escaping future sickness

A newborn is pure but with time and aging becomes corrupt? Lies are disguised as truth to catch its prey, as in lies are used as a trap to ensnare the innocent. Reborn again, just as a leopard does not change its spots, neither can this human being stop being who and what he is. The antidote to the lies he sprouts and the evil which ensues is Forgiveness. An enlightened person, someone who has dealt with this evil person and knows exactly what he is like, disregards the behaviour and is wise enough to avoid it in the future.
Hhhhmmmm! Not sure at all where I am going with this, Soren. I am inclined to head towards the USA, but think I've lost my way to be honest. Please forgive me! Your resplendent metaphoric gem has dazzled me in its perfection. Wonderful write, Soren and thank you for sharing, my friend...
