Condensed dreams

On wings of steam an evaporated dream in a rusty kettle will not settle

Cooling vapor, in drops taper corroding a heart of metal

Truth in, a chameleon skin fades in pillow down

With egg shell gloves rescue delusion's love, smell under a clown crown

condensed dreams end up having nowhere to go. They get confused and like a foam on a soup, dissipate.
This reminds me in a way of Langston Hughes' "Dream Deferred" and what happens to dreams when they start disappearing because of no action to fulfill them.

Dreams are strange! I've had some come true, but most simply fade with the light of day. You have captured dreams superbly in this allegorical gem. Teardrops bit into a cold heart of metal and create rust. Like dreams, love can fade also leaving one of the partners disillusioned about love, making them feel like a clown for not seeing how things would turn out! Lovely work, dear Soren.
