Tears of night

Tears of night

A Poem by Soren

A tearful sky pulls a gray blanket over its head
Misty eyed it lets out a gusty sigh
shorting lanterns spark as it rumbles out of bed
sheets of leaves rustle and fly

Stubborn, it will not turn on the light
head under covers it crawls
across the valley floor, in its spite
under torn cloudy shawls

Have been reading about the hurricane in Florida, dear Soren and praying that you and your dear family are all safe and well. Love the personification, the metaphor, simile, etc in this excellently penned write which captures the hurricane superbly. The visual detail through excellent word choice is wondrous! I love this beautiful poem so v-e-r-y much and the pictures you so deftly paint also. Lovely work, dear Soren. Thank you for sharing, dear friend...
