Slumber painted dreams

Slumber painted dreams

A Poem by Soren

Shadows and shades bright blazing beauty
molded memories adorned with booty
clocks that run backwards birds under the sea
pain that is bliss a talking tree

if shot won't die ships sailing the sky
without feathers you can fly
houses upside down talk to your dead mother
cat that wears an iconic frown a new fat brother

bouncing rocks electric socks thoughts printed on posters
square tomatoes perfume tornadoes dancing toasters
painted thunder lightning of steel spiderweb clouds
younger than your age naked on stage in front of crowds

A dance of words and memories. I went with you to many places and thoughts. After a long life, the memories become our wealth for us to keep. Thank you Soren for sharing the amazing poetry.

Was my pleasure my friend and you are welcome.
A truly fun read with images that fit well within my bag of dreams. I have recently been very intrigued by dreams and memories and the relation between them. This is a very fanciful and enjoyable read full of fancy and beautifully rhymed. Well done sir. -carl

Well thank you Carl I value highly your comments and appreciate your words
How effortlessly, you have got a great rhyming scheme; for each and every verse. And, as it's like a dream of images and thoughts; it doesn't need to make sense in the real world. Indeed, how bizarre our dreams can be! And, certainly fun to read too. I also accept "read requests", on this site.

Sounds like the 1960's/70's era as I read, Soren? I love how you describe so finely all things which are contrary for things to do/to be, ie: Square tomatoes, dancing toasters, etc. Very finely inked and wonderfully descriptive with amazing depiction. I enjoyed reading very much and thank you for sharing, dear friend...
