Cycles

Cycles

A Poem by Soren

Nature has its way, from night to day, a cycle does provide
Water from the sea, raises to be, clouds that raindrops ride
Falling over all, in rivulets small, rivers are supplied
From the earth, to their place of birth, they return to where they died

Love's rain one can't restrain, to all it is supplied
Hard ground may spurn its return, but it will not be denied
Sand and clay it washes away, hard rock it will divide
Saturating the ground, where its found, leaving life behind its tide

I was station at Fort Ord, California. The fires of Summer burned up the Big Sur area. In the Fall. The green came back so quickly. I agree with your words and thoughts. The earth will be reborn after we leave this earth. Thank you Soren for sharing the amazing poetry.

The cycles in nature are very finely crafted in this wonderful poem. I love how the rain is recycled and how the poet expresses so eloquently that dry, parched ground may reject the rain at first, but it will soak up each and every drip with an undeniable thirst as the rain saturates the ground, leaving a tide in it's wake. A beautiful ode to rain so magically penned and delightfully depicted. I feel you are a lover of the rain, as I also am, dear Soren? I love the scent of the rain, the feel of it on my skin and the difference a shower of rain brings to grass which needed watering. It renews the plants, trees, flowers and everything it touches looks fresh and new again afterwards. I love this poem! Thank you for sharing, dear friend...
