Garden without a gardener

Garden without a gardener

A Poem by Soren

Waterfalls of painted caladiums, ferns, heliconia in streams forming pools
Alocasia umbrellas, under drops of yellow orchids, golden pearls, floral jewels
Palms dripping lichen rivulets, flowering flame bromeiliads, nature's wall hangings on trees
Kapoc's hairbrush of thorns, rain taffy pink blossoms a breaking wave's mist of petal seas

Guarded by feathered choirs of winged rainbow angels painted
echoing celestial music, harmony of nature untainted
Finches green, red, yellow, turquoise, humming birds, gralha of sky blue
Under trunk pillars with gloss of moss, paradise's untended garden grew

A truly amazing write from your golden poetic pen in this very beautiful poem, dear Soren. What a magical picture you fleck for your reader in so many charming and descriptive words. I think that our beloved Mother Nature is the very best gardener of all, dear poet! I love this poem and I will later look up some of the beautiful flowers named as I am not familiar with them. Thank you so very much for sharing, Soren...

Quite a splendid, sensuous garden described here, all of if apparently untended by human hands. But we see at poem's end that this is paradise's garden. I guess that means we'll have to die to see it. Oh, well, it just proves death is not all bad.

A nice piece, in two verses, which rhymes flawlessly; and with a good choice of beautiful words. It made me think of an eden-like place. Indeed, sometimes we all need some such haven; as a place of calm and natural tranquility. Thanks for accepting my friend request, by the way. I also accept "read requests", and just returned to this site - after being away for years.

Soren, what a wonderful poem, what it holds is magical! I am a landscaper.. and whilst when working I' ve to do what clients want.. I try my utmost in as subtle way that I can (subtlety not my strong point as those who know me, know!) to have their garden as Nature and God if you will.. have it be. Nature is not neat, tis haphazard, tis ^natural^ Is true that seeds are spread by wind, bird and Man.. but the latter often plants too deeply or shallowly - as it does with its relationships with others!

Your words for me, are as a garden - and indeed, life should be. Full of what eyes and heart need to see and feel, day in, day out, then to dream of at night. My heart and mind loves your poem. I wish I could have written it.. can certainly feel it. Thank you so much for sharing it.
