Tobacco green wave on hills

golden wash of sun flowing

from morning's fountain spills

over undulating seas growing

Helios inscribes his time consuming arc

cloud numbers move across sky's clock

painting hands, shadows long and dark

dirt road behind, now a wake on my walk

A true atmosphere of nature. Except we don't have tobacco around here in the Highlands of Scotlan. Unless you are talking of the colour. Then we do have it in abundance. Wonderful reflective stuff.

A delightful walk in the countryside is superbly penned in this charming poem. The visual detail is alluring and draws me in more and more as I read. I love how the poet tells his reader that his walk with Mother Nature has woken him up! The description of the sky's clock is beyond words, sooooo beautiful and I adore the comparison of the sky's clock with Helios arc.
