Hey its a good write, to make me this far in emotion.
My brother.
Our present day world need more poems like this ssssssoooooo badly, Soren. Everywhere we go, everywhere we look there are brothers, sisters, little animals who so need our help, but not every human being has a heart big enough to give until it hurts their pocket, sadly. The only way to understand for someone who lives in poverty, is to live in poverty oneself. Only then will we feel the hurt of being shunned, the pain of hunger and thirst, only then will we be able to show empathy to others. A truly WONDERFUL poem which should be printed on every box of cereal bought so it could be read each morning as a family sit down to a meal that others will never sit down to. Excellently constructed around our brothers, sisters and little animals big and small, bless all... Your words are haunting those who pass by without contributing whatever help they can. How can human beings be so nasty! Selfishness and ingratitude are beyond my understanding! Your words show the beauty of your soul, it is on display throughout the poem, dear Soren. A truly wonderful poem full of sensitivity to those less better off than we are. Angel blessings to you as I thank you for sharing, dear poet...

It lacks the imagery and metaphor often found in poems. I decided to add simply because of the message. I was born in middle class and always had what I needed. From youth, I was a stingy And self-centered person I met someone who taught me to be something else. This person without thought of personal safety would get rides to anyone at any time. Any money they had they would give to anyone asking with no thought of how they might use it. They taught me to give up material things And I am still working on being a better person. Love comes from the heart as does generosity and I still have a lot of work to do. I thank you so much for this humbling review and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

In my eyes it lacks absolutely nothing, it conveys a very definite message to each reader. Like you, I too, had everything a child could possible want or desire growing up, because I am an only child, but I saw so much poverty among my peers growing up. Children at school with neither shoes nor socks, having travelled miles from the country to school. I saw my Mom bring in little itinerant children and dress them in my clothes and the spark it ignited within me, to see them looking so angelic, so lovely compared with how they were when they came in with their Mam, sparked a fire within me to give without though. I saw my Mam take down her beautiful Willow Pattern China from the glass case because her cousins wife admired it and Mam gave it to her, leaving the glass case almost bare, so I grew up with that love for giving and I have never stopped and dear Soren, I hope to continue so until I draw my final breath in this lifetime. You are doing a wonderful job and you are no longer the person you used to be, but a beautiful Angel in disguise. Both of us will keep working on being better people and hopefully make a difference to the life of another beautiful soul as they go on their journey through this lifetime. THANK YOU! again for sharing, dear poet...
Your words are a nudge, a pointer and a plea to those who live in their own little world oblivious to real life and the horrors in it. So many ignore the other side of the world, turn their heads, grip their eyes to their sockets and do nothing for anybody unless.. please put your name - - - - - - - - - - soemewhere a long there.
Fine words put written with the same hands that put out a begging bowl for those who desperately need its more than overflowing nothingness. Words put with empathetic passion.
