MajestyA Poem by Soren
A violet haze crowns the sky monarch lays down to die
A burial pyre is ignited in fire as darkness takes his place Shadows of gossamer weigh down the eye Faded memories leave their trace Dawn’s breath a fog of night Swirls around the breast of hills And timber hairs stand in fright As those of might their lust fulfills The gray stone wall In shadows grows black Breathe deep the dawn’s emerging light Green the fields of Elysium, buried come back Soon fade to gold, new life ignite © 2024 SorenReviews
