Roots

Roots

A Poem by Soren

Hidden workings of a watch,  see the hands go round
Concealed inner thoughts by which actions are bound
Know a book by reading a single page
A crook by a crime his character gauge
How quick to judge are we
When we can't see the roots of a tree

Roots are difficult to chase. Judging is error. Errors are pain. Pain is death. Good poem

Thank you so much for the read and understanding comment it is most appreciated
I love this poem very much. It brings home to the reader that one cannot judge a book by its cover or even the back cover which tells the reader what the book is about. Human beings are judgemental, there is no doubt whatever about that. So often they fail to realise that what anybody does is none of their business and they have no right whatever to judge anybody! I love how you impart that without thinking, we judge when we cannot see the roots of the tree. Excellent use of metaphor, visual detail and logic. A wonderful narrative write, a hidden message for each reader. Great write, dear poet! Thank you for sharing...

Most welcome always, Soren...
we are way too judgmental....we need to step back and give people a chance to prove one way or another...most times we will find a gem rather than a rotten egg.
