A taste of honey

A taste of honey

A Poem by Soren

Have you ever kissed a bee?
washed yourself clean in a breeze?
On loving lips I place honey
A wafting scent soon will tease
with liquid sweet and runny
kissing insect warriors, no need of referees

A very sensual scene painted in this metaphoric gem. Liquid honey, sweet and runny on a lover's lips, the scent of it inhaled and the liquid tasted as lover's kiss. A wonderful gift from Mother Nature to enjoy. Love the metaphor, alliteration and the excellent play with words in this proficiently penned poem. Excellent depiction also. Have to say, I have never kissed a bee, but love when bumble bees come to visit the flowers. They are so gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem as Summer draws to an end. I love it...
