where others fail it does succeed

lifting spirits that fly into the sky

giving such a wonderful high

Condemned by many it makes me yawn

I smile seeing it flourish in my neighbor's lawn

'The funny weed!' Oh, dear! I pray the ban on drugs is never lifted in Ireland! I've seen so much sadness and death caused by 'harmless' drugs, these are drugs which do not exist as all drugs are harmful to both mind and body. Can't imagine it growing on somebody's lawn! However, I am not here to judge, but to read and comment on this succinct write. Thank you for sharing, dear poet...

Thanks Marie I too appreciate the harmfulness of drugs legal and illegal this was just a lame attempt at humor in that the play on word weed is just that a dandelion.

And yes it is condemned by many, but the feeling it generates cannot be beat….people have different reactions , but most are pretty happy campers!
