What lies out there

What lies out there

A Poem by Soren

What lies out there?

Aliens different than us

some don't breath air

changing bodies making a fuss

From different places

tentacles, claws, beaks

with plastic faces

nine brained freaks

dumping ink to hide

amorphous shapeshifter

jets of water it does ride

in currents a drifter

Alien face on a terrestrial being

no spaceship needed to explore our land

look down not up they are fleeing

don't eat them, in peace extend our hand

Yes, earth is not the only occupied planet. There is life out there and to them we are the aliens. We also have aliens in the form of AI, robots on our planet. Not sure if I am ready to extend my hand to robots. In themselves, there is nothing to fear, but through the person who programmes them, they can be anything, do anything and are more than capable. They may be accepted in time. All different life forms out there and you have perfectly described some of them, Soren. I like this poem, it gave me much to think about! Thank you for sharing, dear poet...
