The eyes of a child

The eyes of a child

A Poem by Soren

The sky a painted ceiling

unpainted white patches remaining

Golden rays of feeling

Unfinished splotches moisture retaining

Multicolored arc brushed

from wall to wall

Rusty horizon blushed

The floor a green drop cloth shall

Flowered drops from a rainbow speckle the ground

Crumpled rumpled green cloth hills

Banging paint tin thunder sounds

Running river paint spills

Footprints lead the way

to a masterpiece unfinished .....

Wow! What an amazing picture of nature you have painted in this exquisite and very eloquent write, dear Soren. The sky, the clouds, the golden sun rays, the rainbow, the sunset and the ground as seen through the innocent eyes of a child are superbly painted in this truly enchanting write. I adore how you see the green hills as 'crumpled rumpled cloth' and the compare the thunder to banging paint tins. Walking one finds their way to an unfinished masterpiece. Your beautiful poem is a truly delightful, magical masterpiece, Soren. It is ssssssoooooo beautiful! I love it! Your beautiful words have enriched my evening. So grateful to you for sharing, dear friend...
