What do you see?

What do you see?

A Poem by Soren

Do you notice all?
Do you see the unseen?
Is your vision small?
Blinded by a screen?

Can you smell those soon dead?
Can you taste argyle?
hear what isn't said?
see love in a smile?

After birth distorted,
stab wound or sting of bee,
vision contorted,
we see what we hope to see

The truth is not always noticed or if it is, is misunderstood. Ignoring the truth because it hurts - stings, is a common practise: so many people turn away because it's easier to do than feel specks of ash touch their minds plus - the fall-out is never allowed to get near enough anyway. Could be this poem is about a general lack of empathy loudly hidden by over-ridden self-focus! Perhaps?
