Dark to lightA Poem by SorenThe sky's dying embers hail the immanence of night's hushed, soft, cold kiss, chilling life's lust; leaving misty, gray, crumbling ashes of dreams. Here salvation's glowing spark fades into dust, awaiting resurrection.
O Helios, awaken your steeds, unearth this revenant from night's tomb. Bring your fiery broom to sweep away the cobwebs of sleep and spread your whitewash of light across the dusky dungeon floor.
Paint past's dark slumbering shadows with brilliant, shimmering light. With flaming fingers, grip and rend asunder myth's bursting spun chrysalis exposing naked breathing flesh of illumination, with wings of a new spring day. © 2024 SorenReviews
