Dark to light

Dark to light

A Poem by Soren

The sky's dying embers hail the immanence of night's hushed, soft, cold kiss,

chilling life's lust; leaving misty, gray, crumbling ashes of dreams.

Here salvation's glowing spark fades into dust, awaiting resurrection.

O Helios, awaken your steeds, unearth this revenant from night's tomb.

Bring your fiery broom to sweep away the cobwebs of sleep

and spread your whitewash of light across the dusky dungeon floor.

Paint past's dark slumbering shadows with brilliant, shimmering light.

With flaming fingers, grip and rend asunder myth's bursting spun chrysalis

exposing naked breathing flesh of illumination, with wings of a new spring day.

Wow what imagery!!! "night's hushed, soft, cold kiss, chilling life's lust; leaving misty, gray, crumbling ashes of dreams" this line is so powerful and just sophisticated. I love your poetry so much :)

I liked the descriptive qualities imbued in this write. The praise of morning; don't the little birds even sing of it? Every day is a new adventure, a new opportunity and a fresh start. I enjoyed the read.
