Friendship

Friendship

A Poem by Soren

May our friendship be like the sun

a greeting light until day is done

It lies behind the clouds of the darkest storm

in a cold world its fire will always warm

In the dark of night its reflection still gives light

Knowing even in death, in the mourning, it will return bright

Thanks Einstein I so appreciate you visit and read as well as most humbling comments.
That would be the friend that one strives to be and the friendship worth keeping and sharing! 7B occupants and there should at least be a handful of these around.

Thanks Red yes there are a few. I appreciate the review
I'm fortunate in life to have (these days) many fine friends, or at least friendly acquaintances. Where would we be without them?

Thank you so much for the read and comment
Dear Soren: in this poem it seems like real friendship weathers all storms, cold, even death, because in death memories are the string that holds friendships together. the warmth from the sun and the fires we make keep us together; friendship is bonding and for good reason..... lovely
