Ugly truth

Ugly truth

A Poem by Soren

The smoke of political correctness obscures ugly truth with the soot of fear

The face of questions that are not to be asked is chard by a dark fire

Truth and honesty now hidden from all those that would hear

Under a painted deceitful mask the disagreeable, now we admire

To save the tender we pretend not to see

Under its facade cancer spreads

Now not noticed, inoperable, we act as if it can not be

Afraid, like children we hide under covers in our beds

I can not believe

in a science based society

we practice to deceive

under the name of propriety

Fine writing. I'm a free speech absolutist myself, and sometimes wonder about the need to address the iniquities of the past and the contemporary landscape of modern day progressivism... anyways, good stuff!
