A tooth ache

A tooth ache

A Poem by Soren

A sudden jolt of pain like a nail to the brain

From my mouth came a rotten smell, brimstone, surely this is hell

bringing back a memory of youth, when I suffered from a bad tooth

Immediately a dentist I called. Pull it, I balled

I can't he said or surely you'll be dead

You need protection from the infection

Pain will continued to burgeon. I'll send you to an oral surgeon

So with the deferral he made a referral

Not wanting to wait, the pain to sedate

Thinking of time lost and also the cost

home I went my money and energy spent

With the courage pain inspires, I got a pair of pliers

and with little doubt, I yanked and pulled it out

Now I rest in peace from the pain's release

RIP

What a drastic ending. Not unheard of in the UK with a shortage of dentists and huge waiting lists. Tooth ache is incredibly painful. If this was your reality , you need a hug:)

Thanks Chris for the read and response it is deeply appreciated.
That was funny.

Do people sign their name so that they can reach the character minimum?

I think that some do. Thanks for the question.
Nothing worse than a toothache. Lovely rhyme scheme and flow.

Good read
