Hanging by fingernails

I've lived my life, hanging onto the edge

walking the ledge

tight roping on a razor in reverse

betting against the odds

taking on the gods

playing the lottery of the universe

Always took the long shot

never got caught

although many said stop

even when I lost

never paid the cost

I always came out on top

I've ridden a bucking bull

swam in a whirlpool

walked in a lion's den

accused in a court

dodged bullets for sport

lived life to its fullest amongst men

Quite a resume here. The speaker has apparently lived a life of adventure and on the edge. It might be a good idea to delete that dodging bullets for sport bit, though. Make a mistake there and there's no replay.
