On the edge of a dream

On the edge of a dream

A Poem by Soren

I never felt I belonged on the ground

a balloon in a bush of thorns

Ah, that I were a cloud looking down

a silk cocoon wrapped in a blue blanket that warms

Held in the arms of the sun

I would float on the wings of ethereal dreams

Lifted by the breeze, joining it as one,

in a strawberry sky, feeding on rainbow beams

Bathed in a shower of stars

Rinsed by the light of the moon

Dried by the passionate heat of Venus and Mars

Enchanted in unconditional love's womb

by a sirenic Morpheous tune

Beautiful poetry Soren. Relatable. I have lived a fair bit of my life with my head up in the clouds or star gazing. That’s what dreamers do. Wonderful imagery, flow and soft rhyme. My kind of poem.

Thank you Chris I appreciate your review and most kind words.
Such words, such concepts. Indescribably beautiful and classic.
