A Poem by Soren

The world speaks to me, but not in words you know

words that only the wind and waves can pronounce

songs that only birds can sing

the language of the stars that tells of the seasons

speaking in tongues long forgotten by man

as his senses diverged from other living forms

Long before lies were invented

the breeze's whisper told of approaching storms

a whale's song searched for a lost mate

the herald of the times shown in the sun's joy

now drowning cries in a yellowing leaf

the light from the heavens blocked by time

the smell of fertile earth removed from life

a bee's dancing map disrupted by insecticide

every splash in the pool

and creak of a branch

has its meaning

you only need to listen

You have created many fine phrases.

'that only the wind and waves can pronounce
songs that only birds can sing
the language of the stars that tells of the seasons''

which I was tempted to say seemed to be abruptly said, perhaps could be gentler..

but, the poet knew best because.. you knew what was going to be added: creatively, truthfully. - the use of commercially made slaughter
