It's interesting to note that certain terms are very often subjective. After all, what is "common"? We were once told we should exercise "common sense" but that seems very much like a misnomer from what it meant then and the very "common" reality of today. The shared opinion of the majority has become the shared opinion of the minority, making is thus, very much less "common". I enjoyed your write. It reminded me of a song (everything does) by Jackson Browne, "For Everyman" In case you don't know the song, here's a link to the song on YouTube. I hope have the time to view and enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOoeoiO-3C0

You are so right the word common is ambiguous and does not mean what it once did. I'm off to listen to the song by Jackson Browne

We are all unique but I guess we have common traits. By that I mean shared traits. One thing I’m certain of Soren, regarding our uniqueness, is our flaws . All of us have them. Not one of us is perfect. When we look in the mirror, do we see them? Maybe,, but maybe others notice first. I enjoyed the read. A well composed poem.

Yes we are unique and the same at the same time. We all contain tiny pieces of what others are to greater or lesser degrees. We all have a bit of everything, good and bad.
the common man ...common denominator? Perhaps...there is a bit of everyman in every man.
we are a combination of contrasts...many...but to be human is to be flawed, and we cannot deny we are flawed, nor that we are human.
powerful piece here, Soren,
