The names of the famous and infamous, how many names of gods have their origin in real men exaggerated and embellished over time.

Very few Gods compared to humans who have embellished over time and are famous and will be remembered; I couldn't possibly think of all of these; and the order seems to have some significant; I noted at the end that Shakespeare has no peer; I'm assuming the others are in the same class...and perhaps Shakespeare has his own famous place above all the others?

Thank you Betty for such attention to this piece. I was tempted to include more gods but was afraid it was already too long. Shakespeare was a hard one to rhyme to and since this is a poetry cite it seemed good to list him as without peer.
