Some years ago I needed to know

What was the amount of my last deposit

So the bank I called and a voice drawled

Your account number please, do you have it?

No problem I said, and then it I read

Now some security questions to verify it is you

Password conferred, I thought the rest could be deferred

But not so, some mandatory questions did ensue

To avoid a con game we need your mother's maiden name

Once again I complied and gave it

One last question before, we can give you more

What was the amount of your last deposit?

Thank you my friend. It's been a bit of a stressful time for me these past couple of months. I've been active writing but not spent much time proof reading or editing my work. I'm hoping soon I can get a bit of consistency in that process and a better balance between my writing and working. I too have had some very stressful times lately and use my poetry as a way of dealing with what is in my head. They also work well to keep the dust and rust from overcoming my mind.
