A thin line

A thin line

A Poem by Soren

Out of brilliance sprouts sensitivity

Feeding on details is its proclivity

Occasional distortions spawn bacterial suspicion

Fear of weakness, makes it overprotective of derision

A tendency toward exaggeration, in such a vivid imagination

Can only lead to misinterpretation, violence and aggravation

In the fever of jealousy and hatred it does live

Completely unable grudges to forgive.

With insecurity it uses projection

Blaming others for its own imperfection

Breeding on the stress of paranoia's cancerous mold

Tumors of inflexibility begin to unfold

Although still able to perform complex calculations

Now its memory is full of conspiratorial fabrications

In a final attempt to preserve its expectations

It tumbles headlong into delusions and hallucinations

The above lines could stand alone. When we seek ugly. We will find her. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry. I did like this one.

Perhaps genius and madness are one and the same. It seems for each day that passes that thin line becomes thinner and thinner. Though the genius level is a level I will never obtain though madness, now that might actually find me. Nice one my friend.

A hyperactive mind often turns against itself. I could read such a nightmare in your words. I'd prefer to be ordinary and not such a terrifying genius mind. So many cases of destructive behaviour of highly talented people are out there. A very interesting poem, so well written.

A very interesting perspective on mental health. Much appreciated!
Desperately grabbing for a handhold to halt descriptive descent into a prepared pit for paltry poetic postulations. Holy Uncanny Photographic Mental Processes - Batman.
so enjoyed this read, what a "long strange trip it's been." Thanks for the post - carl

Many a person teeters in the balance inside their mind. All we see is what like icebergs show on the surface!
