great questions .. to me your protagonist, his own antagonist ... asking those questions and more seems the first step in self discovery .. Aristotle said "Knowing yourself is the beginning of wisdom" ... if we deceive ourselves .. well .. that can be a deep hole can't it ... thought inspiring poem for me
