A view beyond

I saw the end of the world today

It ended as it began

Time blistered, peeled and fell away beyond the reach of man

All the dimensions collapsed into one

Space and energy into the dust of time

The force of entropy there was none

Only consciousness reigned sublime

I like the reference to consciousness at the end. The world is not a planet, but a level of consciousness. When one goes beyond that level, the world ends and a higher level of being presents. Thus is the end of the world a joyous event.
