Absolutely beautiful picture painted for your reader in this superbly penned Haiku, dear Soren. To me it is the 5, 7, 5 syllable count and three line verse? Can't seem to see where I have been going wrong, no doubt I am blind to my own mistakes, lol... :))) I left a comment for you on the poem which you so kindly told me was not a traditional Haiku, to the effect that I would be most grateful if you could give me some guidance, please and thank you, Soren. Thank you so much for dusting off this old piece that hasn't seen the light of day in years. I am no expert on Haikus or Senryus but as I understand you are right about the 5,7,5 syllable count for each(although there is some debate about this due to Japanese to English differences) The principle quality for a traditional Haiku is that its focus is on nature while a Senryu is on human foibles often with a bit os cynicism or humor. A traditional Haiku usually has a cutting word
